2006 Juno Awards

The Juno awards were handed out in Halifax last night. Big winners were Michael Buble, Nickelback and Neil Young, with Vancouver crooner Buble coming away with the three biggies: Single, album and artist of the year. Other winners are Simple Plan as the fans choice, Nickelback as Group of the year and Daniel Pewter as the career ending New artist of the year.

Bryan Adams was inducted into the Canadian Rock Hall of Fame and performed 18 'Til I Die. International artists of the year was tied between Coldplay and the Black Eyed Peas both also performed at the ceremony.

Host Pamela Anderson created some controversy making some Seal Hunt jokes, but the jokes went over like a lead balloon in front of the Eastern Canadian audience, and Ms. Anderson's brain was thankfully put back in it's box for the rest of the show.
